Upon the making of an appointment and the arrival at the office, you will fill out some preliminary paperwork so that I may advise you appropriately. I will need for you to bring in 6 months of paystubs or proof of income for the means testing calculation as well as 2 years tax returns. If you are paid the same amount each paycheck I only need the last 2 months pay information.

I also require a list of who you owe money to. I prefer the list to include addresses, account numbers and amounts owing along with the names. After reviewing your paperwork, you will have a confidential 60 minute consultation with me. I will explain to you the basics of bankruptcy in either a Chapter 7 or 13 and a budget analysis. You and I will review your assets, liabilities, income and cost of living expenses. In this setting you will learn your options and receive advice on how to address your debts and other financial problems.
